GBBD - July 2011

Lots of blooms thriving in hot and humid Maryland! This month, it looks like the variety of lilies steal the Garden Blogger's Bloom Day show. Want to see blooms from all around the world? Visit May Dreams Gardens today and on the 15th of every month!

Also, I don't tend to post so frequently, but I did get to visit some really lovely gardens last week. Be sure to check out my last 3 posts on the Delaware gardens.

The pretty candylily below needs to be moved. It's completely hidden behind a peony.

Above - waterlilies from my father's pond. Below, a hydrangea. You'd marvel as well if you could see the conditions under which this tough little shrub grows!

  7. I just commented elsewhere that I would like to try hydrangeas but don't know if they could withstand the conditions in my yard, but your post makes me think that might be possible. What a beautiful variety you have with all those lilies--love it!

  12. Hello Wendy, i have not been here for a while as i am not much into food posts, though i am fond of eating. My favorite food is shrimp and rice, haha! typical you might say! But your lilies are so beautiful and i love to have them too, however, they dont do well in our very hot climes. You have lovely colors in your collection, and they seem so happy with your care.

My awesome gardening friends...thanks for leaving a comment! I don't typically repond here, but I love knowing who you are so I can visit your blog as well.

btw - if you're trying to show me nude Miley Cyrus photos, sell me nikes or viagra or antibiotics, or encourage my lovely garden readers to visit your site on solar panel construction, or seo-whatevers, sorry, but I'm not publishing your comment. If you want to moderate my blog - well, I can't keep you too busy, and the pay would be horrible. And lastly, no. I'm not interested in Club Penguin cheat codes. Thanks anyway.
