GBBD May 2010

Garden Bloggers' favorite activity - the monthly show and tell. I'll spare you too much of the tell, since I have so much to show. See more at May Dreams Gardens...

Keys to heaven.

From the rose collection...

I got this mostly for the variegated foliage, but the iris isn't so bad either!

My favorite spring site on the stone wall out back. Blushing rosie.

A baby Knock Out. Should be a staple of every garden!

My favorite spring perennial - baptisia.

Green halo peony. Can you see the green halo?

Blooms on my favorite shrub - sinocalycalycanthus.

Blue anemone.

Finally, a challenge for you. Can you guess what this (grotesque-looking) thing is?

  1. Wow, you have some gorgeous blooms there! My garden is in a bit of a lull right now, a lot of things are ready to pop, but haven't yet, so it's nice to see what's going on in other gardens!

  3. Beautiful stuff, as always! What are the little purple guys at the top of the page? They look like little purple bunnies with their ears sticking up!

Is the bottom picture a plumeria?

  5. Hi Wendy Dear~~ Wasn't it snowing there in your neck of the woods, like yesterday??? And here you've got oodles of gorgeous flowers. How did that happen? LOL I too like the variegated iris. The blooms are a bonus but the foliage lasts much longer. Love the baby Knock Out! They've really proven worthy, haven't they?

That last little...uh... thing: Maybe a deformed asparagus? I'm "stumped" although it looks like it belongs in the "What's bugging me?" category.

It's Tarp of the Month time and I'm featuring the photo you sent me, with a link. There must be a house under there...somewhere. Thanks again, dear friend!

  7. WOW! What is that clematis? I really want one. My husband has been looking for one for his garden and I think he will agree that this one is awesome.

  8. I like the blue anemone! Yours gives really blue colour and it's wonderful. I am amazed by the many 'baby' rosettes growing from the 'mother' succulent. Would you be thinking of saving them for winter later in individual pots? I think it will look really good as houseplant.

  9. STephanie, the cool thing about the hen and chicks is taht they survive our cold winters!

Dreamybee - you take the cake on the plumeria! but then again, shouldn't a hawaiian be an expert on this? :)

The top photo is just a type of lavender. It's definitely unique though.

  10. I've never seen Sinocalycanthus, but if it's anything like Calycanthus, it must be a great shrub. Your Roses and Peonies are fabulous!

My awesome gardening friends...thanks for leaving a comment! I don't typically repond here, but I love knowing who you are so I can visit your blog as well.

btw - if you're trying to show me nude Miley Cyrus photos, sell me nikes or viagra or antibiotics, or encourage my lovely garden readers to visit your site on solar panel construction, or seo-whatevers, sorry, but I'm not publishing your comment. If you want to moderate my blog - well, I can't keep you too busy, and the pay would be horrible. And lastly, no. I'm not interested in Club Penguin cheat codes. Thanks anyway.
